A Curta for Rome
On the occasion of the general audience on March 25, 2026, in Rome, we had the honor of personally presenting a special CURTA calculating machine from 1955. For us, as a watch workshop and CURTA service center, this was a very special moment. The CURTA embodies mechanical precision, inventive spirit, and the fascination of craftsmanship like almost no other object.
As the owner of the CURTA brand, we currently manage the last remaining original spare parts inventory for CURTA calculators and are dedicated to preserving this extraordinary piece of mechanical cultural heritage with the utmost care.
We were particularly delighted that Iris Dekan-Herzstark, the granddaughter of CURTA’s inventor Curt Herzstark, accompanied us on this special trip to Rome.
We’ve captured the memories of this special day in a photo book. It’s available for viewing in our watch workshop—we’d be happy to show it to you during your next visit.
Novelty 2026 – «CURTA Clock»
After three CURTA wristwatch models, a new chapter begins: the «CURTA Clock».
Inspired by the legendary CURTA pocket calculator, it combines precise design, technical sophistication, and playful details.
With magnetic date adjustment and an integrated calculator, it becomes a versatile object for the desk, workshop, or collector’s showcase.
A tribute to inventiveness, precision, and analogue technology.

Swiss Craftsmanship in the unique CURTA Design
The 24h CURTA watch combines the heritage of mechanical precision with a modern, innovative design inspired by the iconic CURTA calculator. Its development pays homage to the history of the CURTA calculator and its inventor, Curt Herzstark.
Origin of the 24h Complication
The idea of the 24-hour display is based on an additional complication first conceived in 1924 by Paul Golay for pocket watches. This revolutionary principle was later integrated into wristwatches by the brand Gruen and successfully used for decades.
A Completely New Module
For the CURTA watch, we have redeveloped this historic complication with a jumping 24-hour day/night display (01 to 12 transitioning to 13 to 24) and implemented it in the distinctive CURTA look.
To reflect the unique CURTA design, a new 24h module was created, based on the Swiss automatic movement Ronda R150. This module integrates the characteristic number display of the CURTA calculator with its signature window arrangement. The hour numerals for the morning (AM) are printed in black, while those for the afternoon (PM) appear in red.
